THE FUTURE LAUREATES

Chicago Bluegrass and Blues Festival

We are pumped up to be part of CBB.  We had a blast last year, and the new lineup looks to be a great one.

We’ll be playing on Saturday, January 28th at the Congress Theater.

You can catch TFL at 8pm on the lobby stage.  After our set, head on in to the main stage to see Joe Pug at 9pm, Dawes at 10pm, and Drive-By Truckers at 11:30pm.

If you want to be a part of this excellent experience (who wouldn’t?), we are selling tickets now for $35 each.  Just email us at thefuturelaureates@gmail.com with “CBB tix” as the subject line.  We’ll meet you with the tickets so you won’t have to pay any service fees.

This is going to be awesome.

The Festival in Review

If you weren’t able to make it to Elbo Room this past weekend, you can read all about what you missed here.  The good people over at Music. Defined. wrote up an excellent review.  They also interviewed us, along with three of the other bands who were there. Check out the interview here.

Chicago Roots Collective Festival

This weekend is the big fest!  We are very excited.  What is the Chicago Roots Collective Festival, you ask?  Well, you can read about it on the Chicago Music Guide.

Still curious?  Say no more! There just so happens to be a writeup on Chicagoist.com, as well.

Wait, you still hunger for more backstory of this great collective?  Well, you are in luck, because Danny and two other guys from the CRC were interviewed by the total scene.

Long story short: Friday and Saturday, 8pm, Elbo Room.  Buy tickets here for one night, or both nights!

TFL on the Radio

At 7pm CST, we’ll be chatting with LMC Radio at UIC.  Click here to listen.

CAU Podcast

Take a listen here for our performance at Chicago Acoustic Underground.  Huge thank you to all the CAU folks—we had a blast.

Back in Chicago

In the past month and a half we have journeyed to play shows in faraway lands such as Detroit Rock City and the mythical “Twin Cities.”  We had some great times, and appreciate all our new fans who came to check us out.  Nevertheless, we are very happy to be back on our home turf.

Saturday, October 1, we’ll be sharing the stage at Subterranean with 3 other fantastic bands: Ben Ripani Music Co., Aloud (all the way from Boston!), and Jon Drake & the Shakes.

Doors open at 8pm.

Tickets are only $10.

THIS SHOW IS 17+!!!  WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
